Today is a bittersweet day for all the Kylie lovers out there. Tonight in Cape Town,South Africa the curtains close on what has been a legendary milestone in Kylie's career - The Aphrodite Tour plays its final show.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, the Aphrodite era has been her best yet! The album was a true gift to the fans and the one word that sums it all up for me is... love. It was Kylie's love letter to her fans, who have stood by her in the brightest and darkest of days. While I enjoyed X immensely, Aphrodite was Kylie's true comeback!
I'm sad to see the Aphrodite era come to an end but it comforts me to see it go on the highest of high notes, with a critically acclaimed tour that the world fell in love with. If you've watched any of her tour video blogs, it is evident that she has the most loyal of fans. Who come from all walks of life, regardless of gender, sexuality or language, we all get the same thing from Kylie - to love, live and dance!
It's exciting to see where Kylie goes from here. There has been talk of taking things down a notch by doing an 'anti-tour' in intimate venues, as well as doing an acoustic or tribute album. Whatever she does, you know the fans will be there, by her side, as always.
For now though, I'd like to put my hands up one more time and bid a fond farewell to Aphrodite! Till we see you again x
From Bowties & Showgirls Thank You!

The story of the albums and music:-
Back in June 2000 we saw the much anticipated release of “Spinning Around” the first single from Kylie’s debut studio album for Parlophone Records. In true style she caused a sensation by debuting at Number 1 in both the UK and Australian charts. In September 2000 her follow up single, “On A Night Like This” was released repeating Spinning Around’s success by debuting in the UK charts at #2. Kylie’s most anticipated album yet, “Light Years”, was released at the same time to massive critical and commercial success debuting at #2 in the U.K.
September 2001 saw the Kylie phenomenon reach fever pitch with the release of her global smash hit “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” from the multi-platinum selling album “Fever”. The album generated a further three smash hit singles “In Your Eyes”, “Love At First Sight” and “Come Into My World” and sold over six million copies worldwide.
Kylie stole the show at the 2002 Brit Awards with an incredible performance of “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” and won two major awards for Best International Female and Best International Album.
Kylie was awarded “Woman Of The Year” 2002 at the Elle style awards while the record-breaking “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” garnered 3 Ivor Novello Awards for Best International Single, Best Dance Record and Most Played Record of The Year
Kylie spent the summer of 2003 recording her ninth studio album, “Body Language” in London, Ireland and Spain. “Body Language” was released in November 2003. It was preceded by the hypnotic single “Slow”, written by Kylie with Emiliana Torrini and Dan Carey which debuted at number 1 in Australia and the UK.

I LOOOOOOOOVE THIS! Ok so, First Kylie expresses her excitement to learn about Madonna officially entering the studio to begin work on their twelfth studio album...
Then a reply from Madonna's Manager sending Kylie love from M...
OMG! Could the QUEEN and the PRINCESS become BFF's? Could a collaboration be in the works? Let the rumors begin! :D
It is so sweet to see the two biggest music icons in pop culture sharing love and respect!
She came, we saw, she conquered.
That, in a nutshell, summed up Kylie Minogue's concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Wednesday night. Called Aphrodite Live, the show here - organised in conjunction with MediaCorp Radio's 75th anniversary - was actually a "reduced" version of her much grander, US$25-million (S$30.7-million) Aphrodite Les Folies show that was staged in Europe and Australia. But that didn't mean concertgoers here were short-changed.
Once again, the pop princess proved that you still could have the same amount of fun without too much bells and whistles. Well, she did bring some: At one point, Kylie appeared singing while astride a statue of a flying horse; during All The Lovers, her dancers were suspended in the air as they twisted and contorted their bodies a la Cirque Du Soleil; and during Looking For An Angel, three of them appeared to be "flying" above Minogue.
And, yes, there were costume changes galore - it wouldn't be a Kylie show otherwise, right? Goddess Kylie, spunky Kylie, Victorian Kylie, cabaret Kylie ... they all made an appearance in the show.
"Aphrodite Live" hits Singapore, as a full house of costumed fans welcome Kylie to the Singapore Indoor Stadium...
But what really sealed the deal for this reviewer was just how easy it was to enjoy the show. Truth be told, Kylie's voice isn't the strongest in the biz - someone suggested that she only registered treble and mid-range frequencies on the equaliser machine. But she is the consummate performer, throwing herself into every song. And the 43-year-old singer oozes sex appeal and schoolgirl charm - sometimes all at once - which only makes her all the more sexy.
Minogue was also astute enough not to give note-for-note reproductions of her songs, with only tracks from Aphrodite such as Get Outta My Way and The One sounding closest to the arrangements on the album.
Can't Get You Out Of My Head, for example, was ramped up crunching guitars and a rockin' backbeat; Slow was a sultry slow burn of a jazz number; and her rendition of The Eurythmics' There Must Be An Angel (Playing With My Heart) was also deliciously delightful (although she didn't attempt the stratospheric notes of the original version).
She also took requests, recalling oldies like The Locomotion and I Should Be So Lucky, turning the stadium into one big sing-along session.
If we only had one word to describe the evening, it would be "fun". Yes, it's a cop-out word, we know - but we did have fun. And loads of it, too. And, really, isn't that the whole point of going to a concert?
